In this unit we will talk about architecture as composition.

What is the real meaning of these term ” Architecture composition is the arrangement of various elements like form, color, and texture. There are many factors to consider when organizing objects, such as scale, rhythm, and hierarchy, all of which can and will directly affect the character and style of a design.”

What these means is that architects need to fit the project in the space they are building it.

The relation with the place can be of juxtaposition or abstraction.

In some cases buildings have to be able to camouflage with the enviromet.

One project can change the view of one place changing it into a new one or alter the original one.

As you can see both are cities but the difference is evident. In the first one we can see old buildings and in the second one more modern, so these is a clear example of how can architecture affects to the enviroment.

Relation of ORGANICISM

Building is a nod to the place. Integration is done by reinterpreting its elements. It shows sensitivity towards the place.

Relation of CONTEXTUALISM

It has to do with the meaning expressed by the building. The relationship with the place is justifiable

We could say more types of architecture as composition, because it is very important to know how to work with the place were we are building in and how to play with it.
